Help a New Year Resolution, Beating Anorexia

Posted: Jan 12, 2013

Recently I had a friend of a friend ask for help in completing a new year’s resolution and really a huge life hurdle. She is a college student with a lot of ambition and promise in here future. Her New Year’s resolution is to beat anorexia once and for all so she can act on the promising future she has ahead of her.

Paying it Forward

For those of you who don’t know Anorexia is a very serious eating disease that claims many women and girls. Anorexia can often end in awful health problems and sometimes worse. After having so much happened in my life to shake it up and really change the way I live,  I felt and still do feel very grateful for the people who helped create a break in my hard fought battles. Today, I am asking for the same aid and hoping to give her the same break to help her accomplish her goal of beating Anorexia. As the world continues on we need to help each other and show there is still light in the darkness.

How you Can Help

While we may all have our New Year’s Resolutions that we either have already failed or will likely fail about working out more or eating healthier, she is trying to conquer a huge hurdle in her life. She has asked to remain as anonymous as she can through this process, she is ready to beat this disease but not ask for help from strangers. However, as a friend I wanted to take direct action to help her, to make her resolution succeed even though mine may not. So we(as her friends) created a fund to help her afford the proper medical treatments she needs. Hoping this will be her final stretch to recovery for good. The fund can be found at this website: Helping Beat Anorexia and anything will help her to get the recovery she can’t afford on her own.

For those who took time to read this post thank you, and for those who are willing to pay it forward alike myself, Thank you as well.
